Euthanasia refers to the practice of ending a life in a painless manner. Voluntary euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide have been the focus of great controversy in recent years. And according to Wikipedia, some forms of active euthanasia are legal in Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland and the US states of Oregon and Washington. Reasons given by those who promotes euthanasia includes (1) the pain and suffering a person feels during a disease, even with pain reliever, can be incomprehensible to a person who has gone through it, and (2) economics and human resources. While those who are against it points out the reasons such as (1) morally unacceptable, which view usually treats euthanasia to be type of murder, and (2) a type of suicide. What do you think, is Euthanasia ever been justified or not?

I know this is a very late respond of mine but i want everybody to know about my position about eutanasia , i think if the case is severe and theres no option left but to use different kindsof mechanism to save someone's life then we should be sitting down and talking about the thought of actually helping the patient to be relieved from this kinds of physical torture. When someone is relieved from those kinds of pain i believe its not good to call it even mercy killing. Because for me your let the person go in peace and be with his or her creator when you do such a thing . But then again just as i said only severe cases are applied to this kind of treatment

I'm not pro-euthanasia especially if it my sickness is something that has even the slightest chance of going away. If there is even a 1% chance of getting better, I would persevere. If I become a hopeless case and there is no way for me to actually get better and live a full life or if I will be biologically alive but practically not "living" in its proper sense then I will give my family the go signal to let me go. Not by actively killing me or anything but just letting things go their natural route.
