I was surprised when I saw the google's logo changed to be a barcode picture. Anyone knows what's the meaning of the barcode? Why they use a barcode?

I think to Celebrate or to let us know a particular day they change their logo. Like some days back they had their 11th birthday, and the logo was changed to be GOOGLLE, thus the 2 L denoted as 2 numeric 1. We all have noticed their change in logos on birthdays of many Internationally renowned figures also. However, I did not know that barcode was invented on this day, 57 years back... now I know that barcode was invented on 7th October 1952.
