The President of Maldives Mohammad Nashid called a full cabinet meeting under the sea. The date of the meeting has been fixed on 17 October. To make alert about the negative affect of the change of environment the Maldives President has taken this exceptional initiative. The cause of global warming is the pollution of environment by the advanced countries. As a result the the whole island State will be swallowed by the sea. So the Maldives Government is demanding to take initiative to prevent Global Warming by the United Nations. On 17 October the President of Maldives and all of his cabinet members will dive in the sea wearing diving costume. Then they will get together in the meeting and will talk by signal language. The President will also give signature on anti-global warming document. In the mean time the cabinet members had taken training of divining at a naval base.

I think the facts are that the global climate changes every 10,000 years or so and we have been said to have been around for 5,000 years. During this time we have been lucky enough to have the most mild climate the world has ever seen. It is bound to change though. I can see that it is getting warmer. There are things that can be done to reverse the effects of this. But climate change is bound to happen and we as humans need to learn to be flexible with the change as well as prevent it. Maybe they could get donations to fill their land above sea level or maybe they could dig around the shores and pile it up on the land so it was a smaller island but still there. I think that having a meeting under the sea is kind of making a joke about something that isn't too funny.

To materialize your suggestions will be very expensive for the small state like Maldives. I think the move of Maldives President is not funny. It's a attempt to attract attention of the world leaders on this issue.
