Well,I didn't watch Rockets before, but I was really moved by Houston's spirit this year. And, now two main players were injuried, what would Rockets do ?Without two all-star playwes, who will be the centr of Rockts ?and can they enter the playoff games?

I will say it's very hard for them to enter playoff.

Yup, they had a pretty good run last year early on, but that's before Yao got hurt. It's gonna to be much tougher this year.

It will certainly be tough in the stacked western conference but if Ariza continues on from his playoff run for the Lakers and they get Tracy McGrady back to where he was before the injuries then they could surprise people again. Shane Battier is still there and he's one of the best defenders in the NBA. Aaron Brookes is certainly a talent who could come alive this season.

Hi there. 1st response is right. Anything is possible. But then looking at their status now their chances are low. The western conference is very tough. And to add more, most of the top teams in the western conference did a tweak to further improve their team. Spurs got Richard Jefferson, Lakers got Ron Artest(solid contributor of the rockets during their latest run in the playoffs), Blazers got Andre Miller(adds leadership and experience to their young team), Mavericks got Marion and Gooden (boosts athleticism, offense, and much needed defense) Hornets got Okafor(former Rokie of the Year), and Clippers got Griffin(#1 Draft pick and I think he's no joke).Denver will be better with Billups having his full season as a Nugget so as with the Jazz who's got young athletic power players and a great point guard with Deron Williams. Now, how many teams have I enumerated? hehe. I think the Rockets won't be in the playoffs this year. McGrady is so fragile. But it's the NBA. Anything is possible. We'll never know? Maybe Yao Ming will play.

Any team that gets to the NBA finals has to go through the Lakers, with the addition of Artest, they are going to be a dominant force, they really don't have too masny weak players. I was hoping the Nuggets would pick up Artest, they could use a good outside shooter like him.
