What motivates people to help others?

Well i feel satisfied helping the people who is hungry and helpless. I think its our duty.

Some people don't need to be motivated to help people - they do it because they are good people and because it is the right thing to do. Helping someone should have nothing to do with any other reason, as far as I am concerned. I have had a couple of people here on Mylot who really stepped up to the plate and helped me. There was nothing in for them as far as any reward, thanks, etc. I try to help anyone at anytime, and have no ulterior motives at all. The ones who helped me here, for example,did it because they are good people. The world needs more just like them.

This would largely depend on the person who is offering help For me if the person is known to me or as given good services to my organisation i am always there it help them. The fact they have stood by the organisation and done their duties faitfully makes me help such people. Many a time it is simple huminatarion effect. One see the other's suffering i would just see what i can do for them in cash, kind or guidance so that they are able to deal with their problems. There are occasions when some people have helped me when i was in trouble. I never forget such persons and am always by their side when they need me.

Hi friend! If there is something more like clothes, food or anything I should give to the needy. If any of our brothers who have unfortunate and do not have anything while we have but don't give anything to them, then what use for if we get rich and not much we can do for them. I like helping people, because for whatever we spend on them so many times that we can get.

i think it depends on the person. there are some variety mootivates when help others. but for me, i help others because it`s our duty when we can help others.i always avoid help people because want to be famous or get rich.

Hi buddy... happy mylotting.... i am basically soft hearted... i cannot see others crying saying their sorrows, poverty or problems they are facing... i never listen to those because i will start crying for them....... and my main motivation to help others with clothes, or food or money....... is my MOM..... she is damn kind hearted.......

It depends with the reason of the people and sometimes to his status or career, politician, actresses or actors. For me it is the feeling who motivates, the love for people!
