whether having a pet in your dorm is forbided?

today i meet a friend who lives in the dorm not far from us.she said her cat is driven out by the dorm administrator and my friend is asked to abide the flat's rules.whether a pet is banned in your school?

I live in a exclusive dorm for boys when I was in college. Most of my friends occupying each room don't have pets. I see some frogs, rabbit and frogs in cages by some of my medical student friends. I hope they are pets and not for laboratory experiments.lol

sometimes we also protect some animals such as rabbit and white mouse from the lab.but they usually die after several days.the cause is that the environment these animals lived before is too clean.they can't adapt to our room.
