Buying referrals for a PTC or PTR programm; your experiences?

I am eager to know what your personal experiences are, as I am thinking about giving this a try. Please respond whether you have good or bad experience in this field. I am talking about the legal referrals you can buy straight for the site owners. Most of the time these are people who have joined without a referral. In some cases, the prgramm also offers you the chance to switch inactive referrals in the first couple of weeks. I know there is allways a chance of buying intactive referrals and no one should buy referrals if they aren't willing to take a risk. It's an investment anyway around it. So what are your experiences considering this? Did it result in making extra money, or did you loose money along the way? Which programms are most profitable to buy referrals for considering their referral levels and such? Any help is appreciated!

Hi cyberfluf, I come across the same question whether I should spend to rent referrals or not. In the responses above, opinions are widely divided, and in other related forums, the people talked same, so I think there are some who have earned indeed while others haven't, and risk exists.

Thank you, Ted. This discussion has gotten me more responses than most of my other topics other so far and I have been around a couple of years here on mylot. This is a sign (for me) that this is something a lot of people are thinking about or using, and that there is a lot of personal experience out there we can learn from. Something everyone states, and which I do have taken into account before I even thought about buying referrals, is the chance of losing your investment. Better not to put all your eggs in one basket I'd say.

Some referral is not active after we bought them. Its kinda wasting money.

I have to disagree, as it's an investment and investments can either turn out for the best or you can lose your money. Perhaps this one is more risky than others, I couldn't say for sure. Can you please be more descriptive the next time when you respond? Mylot will not pay you for replies that are less than 4 sentences, so this is kinda wasting your time too.. Your earnings will drop at the end of the month if you continue this. Hope that helps, happy mylotting!
