I do a much better job of putting them on than taking them off lol. I never worried about my weight but wouldn't mind if I lost a few pounds. I did gain a lot of weight a few years back when I quit smoking but somehow most of them came off without any special effort on my part. I know a lot of the secrets but they are not very easy to follow. The ones I believe in the most are that it is very important to eat a healthy breakfast and many smaller meals are much better than two or three large ones. Drink plenty of water and exercise regularly. Wish it was enough to just know the secrets, I'm too lazy to follow up on them.

Amen to that! I get lazy, too. Then the weight comes right back and brings a few friends.

I lost 97 pounds in 1 year on the Atkins diet! I am still trying to lose the last 10 pounds. Then I quit smoking and gained 15 pounds so now I really need to lose 25 pounds. Now we are upon the Holidays and I know I will gain at least 5 pounds. So Atkins here I come in 2007. lol

Good for you! I lost a large amount of weight as well. Then I got pregnant right away. =( Oh well, I have a beautiful daughter out of the deal and I am still working on taking the baby weight off. I also watched my calories very closely and got 30 minutes of walking in each day. I think the exercise is the key to keeping it off. It helps you retain muscle mass which burns calories.

Babies will do that to you, but aren't they worth it! I know that exercizing is key, but how can I do that when I'm glued to my computer answering on mylot all day?

Wow! Congratulations on your weight loss. Losing weight and keeping it off is a difficult thing for me to do. I need to lose weight but I can't seem to change my eating habits. I start but it doesn't last too long. What did you do to lose the weight?

It took a lot of effort, very little food, and teaching Kindergarten every day for me to accomplish it.

I looked up a converter and figured out that you have lost 13.2276 pounds. Good for you! For anyone else who is interested, to convert kilos to pounds you multiply the # of kilos x 2.2046. I definitely learned something today!

wow, what a great job! I recently dropped a couple of pounds, mostly because I am separated from the hubby. He hates veggies, and is a meat and potatoes guy. I eat a lot healthier when I fend for myself. Here is a couple things that are key. NEVER eat after 8 PM. Eat breakfast, and small meals or healthy snacks every couple hours, this speeds up your metabolism. Get some kind of exercise, if you can walk for 30 minutes a day, you will lose a lot of weight. How did you lose yours?

I lost 20 pounds on the First Place program. It is similar to Weight Watchers except that you don't convert everything to points. You learn portion control and how to make healthier choices. In addition to this it is a Christ-based program. You have daily and weekly bible studies and learn the will of the Lord. I have had a relapse and gotten off the program so the weight is creeping back on. I have to get refocased on the program and on God. He will see me though this just like everything else in my life!

I watched what I ate very strictly. For breakfast I had weight control oatmeal (1 packet) with 1/2 banana and chocolate skim milk (to appease my sweet tooth). For lunch I ate a carton of Yoplait light yogurt. And for supper I usually had a lean cuisine dinner. I ate dry popcorn and sugar-free pudding cups when I needed a snack. It also helped that while I was doing this I was teaching Kindergarten every day.

Congratulations. How did you do it? What diet plan? I tried the points on weight watcher. It works if you really stick to it, but it takes forever. Eventually, the weight comes back.

Wow! You go girl! It sounds like you're really on a self-improvement campaign with losing all that weight and quitting smoking, too. My husband gained quite a bit of weight when he stopped smoking, but he was always too skinny before, so it really didn't hurt anything. And I know all too well how hard the holidays are. Usually I like to wait and start a new diet after they're over for another year. Best wishes in keeping the weight off and in losing more in 2007!

That is really great that you lost 50 pounds. I have a hard time sticking to a diet. i have picky eaters and making their food and then mine doesn't pay off for me. I end up eating what I cook for them
