Myself my parter and my 4 year old moved to a nice estate about 7 months ago, weve worked hard to get this house and are evry happy about it BUT.......A week after we moved in the people next door moved out, The owners of the house then showed up to say they were changing the whole house!, anyways we basically had 6 months of non stop noise!, for 6.00am in the morning to 9pm at night!, even on sundays we were all up at 6am because of the noise and thats they day you get to have that long awaited lie in!!!!, Anyways theyve finnished their work now (hooray) BUT last month another family bought the house on the opposite side to us and now ive had a letter asking me to approove another 6 months of work with full extention, conservertary and a porch!!!! I am seriously thinking about saying no!! I know they just want to do their house up but the simple fact is i moved here 6 months ago and im already wanting to leave because i feel like im living on a building site!!! what do you think???

Why would you want to stop someone from improving their home. because all the noise and dust will be over with in no time. and it is only going to help with your own property, and how would you feel if someone told you that you could not do something that you wanted to do. I understand your point about the noise, but maybe you could talk to the neighbors and explain about maybe taking Sunday off the work schedule, and maybe about not working late in the evenings. That way you could both get what you want.

unfortunatly i have OCD and that really just wont do for me!, I think ive put up with it long enough and we have decided to move again due to the mess and noise we have been enduring.

Hello my friend I would speak with the neighbors, explain what you been through and try to come to a compromise, saying no will only make things awkward between the two of you who needs that, I am sure if you talked with them things will work out, this is what I would do, I know how you feel not being able to get rest, that would drive me nuts because I hate noise period, but refusing their request may not be wise my friend, talk it out, things will work out I am sure. Thank you.

They will not talk to me as they are muslims and i am atheist! they think we are ''sinners'' its ridiculous i know unfortunatly i dont think this will work out at all and i am seeing my solicitor as im so bitter about it all not i dont care how they feel at all, they have insulted my family in a massive way!!! If all else fails we will be moving as i have OCD and this just wont do for me!
