When calamities befall us, some people or most people say that this is: "the act of God" What do you think? I don't agree with this principle. I think that calamities such as landslides and floods are the result of man's destruction on earth. Floods are brought about by the abundant destruction of the forest and therefore cause landslides that kill people on theirr path just like what happend recently in the Philippines where hundred were killed by the floods and landslides. On the other hand, typhoons are caused by the rampant release of carbon dioxide in the air causing what we term now as "Global Warming". This are not the acts of a God of Love and Mercy! These are acts of man in their quest for what they call "Progress".
