Blaming Pakistan is not right and I understand that Pakistan did not play well against Australia lost the game to knock India out of the tournament. But India should have played better cricket in the first match against Paksitan team. Indian bowling was very weak in my view, at one stage Pakistan has scored 65 in 15 overs and lost 3 wickets. But after that Shoiab Mallik and M Yousuf played superbly because of poor spin bowling by Harbhajan Singh and Co. Pakistan was allowed to score 300 runs. When India came to bat then Gautham Gambhir and Dravid build a good partnership when Sachin was dismissed early in the 4th over. When Gambhir was out India score was 90 runs in just 13 overs and India was very comfortable to win the game at that stage but sudden India lost 3 quick wickets. Score was 133-4 in 22 overs and then Raina came played quick blasting innings and he was well supported by Dravid.. Raina got out when score was 205 and 35 overs were completed and India needed 97 runs in 90 balls. Lot was expected from Yousuf Pathan, Harbhajan and Dravid but wickets fell at regualar intervals and India was all out in 44.5 overs scoring just 248 runs.. This defeat can be avoided if India batted with some responsiblity. Unfortunate thing to happen for India is the wash out against Australia if that match could have brought some result then India's fate could have decided at this phase itself.. Pakistan nature of play was even given an impression to its own board that Paksitan might have involved in match fixing.. Whatever it is history and neither Pakistan could do any wonders in semi finals.. They have lost very comprehensively to Kiwis.. :)

It should have had a better chance of winning as they were the favorites and the most deserving team to win. But we cant say about winning and losing. In cricket, even a weak team can win over the best team especially in the 20-20 pattern.
