So Izzie was fired from the hospital

Does this fit with Heigl's comments on a talk show that she was leaving Grey's after saying just a few weeks before that she wasn't. It is beginning to look like both statements were true. The earlier one meant she would be back this season and the later one that she was leaving part way into to season. So perhaps Izzie is gone for good.

If what I read in the magazines, some of it quoted from Heigl and Shonda Rhimes, they fired Izzie from the show so Katherine Heigl can go film a movie. She'll apparently be gone for about five episodes. This way Heigl got to do her movie, but she still is a member of Grey's Anatomy.
