Sometimes when I post a discussion I get few people are replying to it. But if I post it at a different time of the day more people would reply then if I posted it at another time. Or maybe no wants to reply. I not sure. Guess I asking what a good discussion and what is not one. What time of day should I post.

The best time to post a dsicussion is YOUR time! There are many factors which cause responses to arrive ona discussion and time is the least important in my opinion. Some of the factors are: - the title - the topic - a new and original idea - the tags - they cause it to be seen over there - your friends checking their notifiers or 'friends started' tab - your comments on the responses - the sooner you make them the more likely others are to respond. - reciprocating on the discussions started by those who respond on yours will make them come back to yours next time. - activity - this will make it rise in the 'hot' and 'top' lists and others will then see it WHATEVER time it is in their time zone when they log on. Hope that helps but you should be so busy here that youdon't ven have time to notice what time of day it is and whether it's night or day in the rest of the world. Watching the clock will not earn us anything Good luck and happy Lotting!

Did you notice that this has now become a 'busy' discussion even though it is here for over 24 hours? If the topic is interesting to many Lotters then they will come and respond to it at any time at all. Now it is up to you to make good use of the responses by commenting to all of them and keeping the users interested in coming back - and you will probably receive even more responses from users who did not notice it first time round

I dont know for sure even though morning time is not the best time to post but it depends where you live really but for me seems like the best time to post is in the afternoon where everyone is home from school or work and thats when it seems that most people are on this site around 3 to 4 pm my time which I live in New hampshire usa which could be 5 or 6 for somepeople or earlier or later.

Talking about time and posting, the point to consider is the where you are posting and the topic of what you are posting. If you post something really interesting, Mylot sends it to all members of that interest and if its so hot they get to reply from the notification they read from their email. If you want to get a whole lot of response just write something that is really moving and factual...that will get people posting and following your posts. goodluck.

Yes, it can be on the interest group that has many members but make sure that the topic is on the proper category. Well, having more friends can also help to get more responses because they will be notified through email when activated and it can also be seen on their activity sortie found on home page. The discussion must be original and interesting. Posting situational topics can get more responses, a tip shared by a friend here and it was proven to be effective. It is because such kind of topics can be practical and can be applicable to daily life so users can easily share their views about a certain subject.

Hello there, Justonce! Well, mysd was right, so just follow her advice. You can post your discussion at any time you want because it can still get more responses if you made an interesting topic. Even it is posted on the time when only few users are active, you can receive responses because there are users who dig up on interesting discussions even the old ones. But remember to use the search box at the top to see if your idea was already posted by other members to avoid your discussion getting deleted. If it is, try viewing the topic on another angle so the thought will be unique by some factors. Aside from having a nice content and an attractive title, you can get more responses when you post comments to the responses you received. Most users prefer to respond on such kind of discussions rather than the dry ones because they want some interaction in the topic, the key to a good discussion. Have a nice day!

It depends... It could be depending on the discussions... Their are times that the members will not just join but they are also looking for adiscussions which they think they can have anything to say with with. It is always like that, sometimes only few response and sometimes their would be a lot. Sometimes even their is none.. Just be patient, try to make another one which you think alot would be interested with. enjoy mylotting!

I don't think there is a best time of the day to post that will guarantee a good number of responses will be generated. In my personal experience, it really depends on the discussion and who are on line at that particular time. Also depending on the mood of the day. There are times when a particular topic is predominant and people find them easy to respond to. So going back to the question, what is the best time, I don't think there is. cheers!

hi justonce, All times are best to post discussion here on mylot and it would get responses provided the discussion is quality discussion and appeals to the mylotters and is not way above the average IQ of avg mylotter. And if you think that u might loose your discussion in back ground by the time most mylotters are online then i guess most mylotters are from Phillipines so just see that the time is about 6 pm or later when may be most are active there.

I have started discussions before I have gone to bed, and when I get up in the morning, there are some responses to it. I have also started a few during the day, and have got some but not a lot. I think it all depends on how interesting it is to other userrs to even get a reasponse. If you don't get 0 responses, then it really wouldn't matter, as users would't be interested at any time to post to it. I really don't start all that many discussions, as I find it easier to post responses to other discussions, so that is what I do. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Respond of post discussion depends on the topic, interest of the mylot member and avaliabiity of the member to track your discussion. Weekend are the best time for getting more member respond on discussion.

It depends on the availability of mylot's most active members. We have different time zones but I regularly have respondents to my discussions. It sure is good to post your discussions at a certain times yet I always post my discussions right before I sleep.
