Hemp or plastics?

Hemp can be used to make about anything. It could replace all plastics. should everyone (mostly US) jump on board?

Well, just for info, there is Manila Hemp, a cordage fiber manufactured from Manila hemp plant locally known as abaca, native to the Philippine islands. Manila hemp had been cultivated and exported all over the globe since the 16th century.
