We all know that spamming is an effective way of internet marketing. But is spamming really unethical? I have a lot of friends in my facebook account I don't really know most of them, so I was thinking if I write them a message consisting link of my websites to make more traffic. Is that consider as spamming?

I know it is a great way of getting a thread deleted here on mylot, it is also a great way to get yourself banned here at mylot. Most sites frown on it and it is considered unethical and rude in most circles, so I wouldn't do it. I would think how ever if you emailed a few friends (good friends) on face book it might not be so bad, I just wouldn't do it en mass and I wouldn't do it here.

I think if they are your real friends and ask help from them that way, it is not spamming. One good way of making your online shop to be attractive is to make some "gimmick". It might cost you a few bucks, but it might be just worth a try. Example, you can inform them that you will be giving out a free item if they reach this certain amount when they order. Or the first 20 people who would respond to your post will have a discount if they buy something from your shop. It was how I did with my online shop.
