What do you say about Fitness First?

I am currently enrolled at Fitness First here in Eastwood and it has been two months since I joined but I still am not able to work out mainly because the person who is supposed to assist me is either taking a shower or is in a meeting. And then after that, they will keep on calling you to check on why you havent gone working out yet. Just this morning I went in at 8:30am expecting that she's gonna be there. Again, she is taking a friggin' shower! So I waited and did cardio and after an hour, she still isnt done. I have work at 1030am, so I had to take a shower myself and just go to work irritated because I wasted my time that instead of being able to work on some of my freelance work, I had to go to the gym and benefit in NOTHING! I got my ID today though. but still, they are so persistent yet unprofessional. Arggh.

I am not a fan of gyms and don't plan on enrolling in one. However, I am very much against social injustice and that is what is happening to you! Be proactive by demanding better services. Put your experiences in writing, describe in detail what has been happening and ask to be assigned to another trainer. Print several copies and give one each to whoever are the higher ups in that FF branch. Also send the same letter to their customer service email if they have one. If you can find names and email addresses of the gym's president, vp and other officers, cc them too. Use sentences such as: "As a paying member, I don't deserve being treated this way." "I didn't pay the membership fee that includes assistance from one of your staff just to be stood up every time I go there!" "If you don't take immediate action, I will take this case up with the Department of Trade and Industry as I know my rights as a consumer!" (In line with this, search for that Consumer Rights article and find lines that you can use to better defend your case). NEVER BE AFRAID TO FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT! That is the problem with our country today. Too many people choosing to stay silent which, in turn, helps perpetuate the wrongdoings of those who deserve to be punished. Simply getting angry will not get you anywhere. Get angry, speak out and fight instead. I hope you'll get better results after taking action. Update us when you do. Godspeed...

That seems to me unfair, I mean you take the time and money to avail of their services and what do you get for it, nothing. Maybe you should talk to someone who's in charge and demand an explanation. I am thinking that for the fees that you pay them, they should at least be gracious and sensitive to their valued customers' needs.

I've never been a Fitness First member but most my former colleagues are. Just like you almost all of them are dissatisfied. Whether it be customer service or payment schemes. I suggest you better look for another gym.
