My sibling's extreme temper

Hello Mylotters, My little sibling(3yrs,4mnths) is making life difficult for us for quite some time now.Actually he is a very open-minded, funny and clever little guy,but in recent weeks he has extreme temper and tantrums now and then. It always start with little warning without any great occasion. They are always little little things that put him on the palm.If it happens, then he is no longer responsive and calm, too. He screams, throws stuffs and bites us.This past week it lasted over an hour.We are pretty desperate. My 10 yr niece has never done such a thing. I have read a lot about temper and tantrums, all well good. But the main question for me still remains somewhat not unanswered: how long can such a face last? how to behave when he starts his "thing"? how do you manage yourself and not despair? what is considered the normal the normal time frame for such an outbreak and what is going with my sibling if it goes on lasts much longer. I am counting on experience mothers/parents and to meet people who can help out from experience. Our family thank you in advance your time and help.

I have a nephew that will be 3 in november he has a tantrum about once a day he has seen alot for his young age, his temper flared up when his little sister was born. a lot of times the temper tantrums are out of jelousy usually to calm him we have to sit and talk to him or to hold him until he falls asleep. I also have a younger sister that had the same problem it calmed down a little before she turned 5

Okay dear,it was great reading from you.At least I have someone who have had the same expereience as myself. And you've given me the hope that it seems pretty normal. If your younger sister calmed downed around 5 then I hope he does so too.If we are going to carry on like this for too more years then....God have mercy

if he is still having temper problems past 10 years old it would be a good idea to test for adhd, but then again some children with temper problems actually are too smart for their own good and just need to relieve their frustration.
