Yay! I just got a Dell XPS527. Does anyone have experience with this computer? Any reviews. I hope that I made a good purchase, it is supposed to be one of the fastest processing computers out there.

Hello. I have been using a Dell desktop computer for the last four years, and I am very happy with it. It just didn't any problem at all, working well and quite fast all along. I never needed to take it to any computer service people for fixing any thing. I will continue using it. This is at my home, and I use it for business and personal needs.

I have a four year of Dell and electronicaly and mechanically it has been fine. However, when I first got it, I troubles with some of the pre-installed software and go no help from the technical service people. After many calls all I got was lied to and nothing in the way of resolving my problem. At the time I was a stockholder in Dell and the way I finally got a resolution to my problem was to go to the corporate website and send and email to the shareholders representative. He called me in a couple of days and worked out a resolution by sending me replacement software. I sold my stock soon after that since I figure a company with such lousy technical help and service was in for trouble. I had had a couple of Gateway computers before that and always got great technical help from them until just before I was ready to get a new computer an then theirs had dropped off and that was why I tried the Dell.

my last dell laptop lasted 7 years with no problems other than after 7 years i had no disc space left, but then again i has 100's of games downloaded on that laptop so i dont think you'll have any problems with it and you made a wise choice.

Hi mellis123, congratulations on acquiring your new Dell laptop. For me it is a dream to have a laptop. But it will take time. I am not an expert to review about this piece. All the best.

Well, in my view you have purchased a good computer from a reputable company. Your computer is good as long as you purchased it for what you want to do on the computer. It's nice to have lots of processing power but if you are never going to use it all then it's not worth spending out more on what you don't need. When I go for a computer, I'm actually going to start building them now, I think that the most important things to compare are the RAM or memory, go for as much as you can, and the processor. I always go for dual core now although I know that they do quad core now, four processors within one housing unit. I don't think many people go for a single processor in today's day and age. Good luck with your new system. Andrew

Congrats on your new computer mellis but I can't seem to find that particular model on the internet so really can't comment about the specification but one thing for sure it's a good choice, Dell are well known for it's durability, I myself got a Dell D610 and I say it's really tough, I can leave it on 24/7 for month and no problem at all, just make sure you always update your antivirus and always backup, cheers!
