Hello. I do enjoy reading books very much. That is my way of relaxing whenever I have the time. My favorites are classics, those of Charles Dickens, Leo Tolstoy, and so on. But, these days, just for relaxation and getting ride of the stresses of the week, I would prefer reading comedies. That has been my preference for spending a few hours each weekend.

My favorite genre is much different than yours. It's actually an underrated one, and not very popular, though you might have heard of Richard Adam's "Watership Down." Yes, I like animal books, anywhere from the original "Bambi" by Felix Salten (not for children, believe it or not) to "The Sight" and "Fire Bringer" both by David Clement-Davies. I actually think David is my favorite author based merely on those 2 books. "The Sight" is about wolves while "Fire Bringer" revolves around red deer. And don't think that just because they're about animals that they're kids books, because they certainly are not. No, they're far from it. I love David's books because he is able to capture the realistic ways of animals--you know, like not having them walk around on their hind legs, talking with humans and wearing clothes, God I hate that!--while still weaving in a fantasy-like world and trying to demonstrate why animals do what they do through rich literature. It's like bringing together humans and animals by looking through their eyes. Also, if you're in to real human history, David also uses real-life situations that have actually happened by putting them in his books, i.e real battles, real empires and armies, etc.
