hi friend, how are you everybody, i just discussed about the keyboard with my friend, she ask me that without seeing the keys you can type. i said yes, why not, i have already learn typewriting when i was a school student. i won't see a single letter on the keyboard, i just see the moniter and i think in my mind what to type and then automatically my finger will type. i just want to ask you people, will you type without seeing the keyboard. please share your comments. thankyou, have a nice day.

Not I! Not only I have to constantly look at the keyboard, I continually make errors too! I can build up a decent momentum at times but I still have to peak at the keyboard every now and again. I am considering doing a course to improve my speed and method.

I can type without looking at the keyboard. I had typing lessons when I was in high school as well as when I was in college. So I am quite a good typist. Now that I have been posting and responding to discussions here in mylot, it gives me the chance to practice more and improve my skills.

Frankly,i cannot type without looking at the keyboard although i began to use computer more than ten years ago and now i use it regularly for my job.it is just because i don't type frequently.in fact, sometimes i want to practise but end in failure everytime.it is too difficult for me to remember the position of all the letters but i always wish i could do it someday Happy mylotting!

Hi shally, You can do it just don´t be afraid of making mistakes that´s all. It´s been ages ago since I learned and I can still type without looking if I really want to. Try when you are not tired because then you may make a lot more mistakes and get discouraged. Type without looking for fun first of all after all you are not in any exam. You have to make mistakes sometimes to learn where the keys are. If you type and make a mistake try not to look think with your Head and it will respond in the end it will respond to you. This is very good practice for people who have problem concentrating. Shally try this method it works with patience and perseverance. Trust me it does because I left off typing for a long time then I had to go back to it again and I found I could´nt type without looking. Then gradually it all came back to me in a couple of days I was like I was back at the beginning. Wishing you luck I know that you can do it. Take care now. Sue.xxx

Hi Neelima, First of all congrats for crossing 200 marks. Now you can use the smileys, so start using the same and have fun. You can use maximum three smileys in a post, pleas keep this thing in your mind. I too like you, learn the same after the 10th standard and continued the same together with my academic courses. I learnt typewriting in three languages in the manual type writer and passed higher grades in two languages. So it is very easy to type without looking the keyboard.

I type without seeing the keyboard. I have practiced typing without keyboard four years ago using a particular software. Now, I am very happy that I am able to type very fast. I use the typing rules while typing. I mean that I use a special finger for each key. My typing speed helps me a lot while working with Mylot especially since I work with Mylot during my breaks at work.

Hai neelimagaru, congrats, entha shraddhaga you made 201 posts. ilaage complete 500 posts and you can copy and paste in the post. I wanted to see the changed avatar of yours but could not understand what it is. So I went to your profile and found out that it is bangle and glass beeds set. My daughter and her partner make crystal glass beeds necklaces and conduct exhibition in forum mall in koramangala and also in safina. The beeds are imported from different countries and are lovely. Your avatar reminds me of that. Some times I will also be there in forum. Well, I have done my shorthand and typewriting higher and completed diploma in commercial practice which has both these as subjects. I won several prizes in shorthand and stood first in college and second in the state of Andhra Pradesh and I am a gold medalist. So my typing speed will be rhythmic and speedy. Chaala bore kottana? sorry.

I am not a pro yet. I used to think that I could type without seeing, but not because I got all the words jumbled up, lol. Nowadays, I'm improving but I still got a long more way to go before I can say I really don't need to see. Let's see...hmmm..I'm normally stuck at alphabets e,r,w,c and v. For now, that is...will try to improve. I can only imagine for those whom don't need to see the letters, they can do the lot with a more cooler and faster pace.

I have used the computer for a long time. I am quite familiar with it. Therefore, I don't have to look at the keyboard and type by two fingers:) In the past I chatted via the net, and it made me type really fast:) I think the best practice for type is online chatting. I love China

Many years ago, I typed 65 words per minute with 0 errors. Recently, I have been re-honing my typing skills. I have had to slow down to avoid typing errors. So right now I am typing 59 words per minutes with 0 to 3 errors. I type by touch most of the time. Occasionally, I will glance at the keyboard.
