The way Ryan Giggs is going he will probably replace Sir Alex Ferguson. Both are ageless and have a heartfelt devotion to the club. Giggs is also a favourite of Sir Alex. Therefore he is possibly the logical successor when he retires which probably shall be about the time Sir Alex also does.

I cannot agree more.abhikmjmdr you are absolutely right. These guys just cannot stop. They go on and on. Giggs sure is a great player and a legend but I wonder if he can be on the same league as Sir Alex as far as managing the team is concerned. Giggs is devoted, but one needs more than just devotion to fulfill a space vacated by Alex Ferguson.

that is absolutely true. There is only one Sir Alex Ferguson. You cannot replace such a legend that easily but I was just thinking aloud that Riggs seems to be a guy who thinks long term and has a career to prove his tenacity.

I think Roy Keane will be the right manager after Ferguson's retirement. Jesus can't be a good coach. He don't like to beat anybody :)

I think Sir Alex is irreplaceable. The way he has taken Manchester United to its zenith is incredible. He has always found the best formation, team and players. There can never be another Alex Ferguson. If he retires I do not have any idea who will take up his place, but whoever it is, have to step into some really big shoes and not everybody is up for that challenge.

No man can replace Sir Alex, not even Jesus. Sir Alex Ferguson is the best manager of all times and his contribution to the club is greater than any footballer of Man Utds long history of footballing legends.

Indeed, it must be admitted that Sir Alex's contribution to the victory of Manchester United, no doubt, and had a lot of evidence. Many prestigious title which has been able to achieve by MU together with Sir Alex. However, it does not mean someone who is worthy, to replace Sir Alex in MU. In my opinion, Rafael Benitez, Jose Mourinho, Fabio Capello and Marcello Lippi, is deserved to replace Sir Alex, to become manager of MU.
