Small children with their school uniform looks pretty. With their shorts, T-Shirts, tie, pretty socks and shoes and with their school bag at the back and lunch bag in the hand, attracts me very much. But is school uniform in white colour on some particular days necessary? coz small children very quickly dirty it by playing in the ground, and by falling down while playing and sitting on the ground

Hi Vatsala In my opinion this white dress should not be made compulsory, rather on that day, they should be given full liberty.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor

Hi Bhuwanji, I too feel the same strongly that atleast one working day they should be given the liberty of wearing their choice of dress. White dress will become dirty very quickly. Especially, small children will play lot and run here and there and in the process fall down and come home with mud stains in the white dress and white shoes which is not only difficult to clean but to make it sparkling white as before too

HI vathsala I like small children wearing white uniform, with nice knickers, socks to complement and nice pair of shoes.I like small ties and water bottle hung on their neck.Ya white color gets dirty easily and children do it faster but since white color is soothing so it looks best ..But I have seen some schools where the color of shirt is different like grey or light blue..But for me white is best!

White dress always look good on any one. No doubt children will dirty it soon. For that the cloth is allowed to be bought in polyester cloth.Either the school authorities supply the cloth or ask the parents to go to a particular stores so that the moment you mention the school name, he will give the same cloth to all children and uniformity in cloth will be there. My children were daily wearing white top and I never found it difficult to wash except that color should be given second rubbing.

You are right and I too agree that school authorities should supply the cloth for uniformity. In my children's school, the school authorities will supply the ready made dress for the children.

the school uniform is representative of a school. Good uniform means good style, green material and friendly maintenance, that boosts the morale and saves trouble. I believe school uniforms are especially necessary for little pupils to help extablish their sense of discipline and honor for the schooling.

Hi aunty, Of course small childrens with uniforms looks pretty. White dress is common in all schools and once in a week they will have to dress up in white uniforms. Usually the admin people decides the colour codes, In our school every monday we use to dress up in white uniforms, Tuesday to fridays, we use to wear white shirts and inks blue frocks, and on saturdays we use to wear colour dress of our choice.

Yes ,kids are pretty in uniforms. But I am against the tie,its like a belt in dogs neck.In some countries it is ok,in warmer areas it makes the kid uncomfortable. But we have to suffer.

Hi maplegeo You may be correct in some aspect regarding the tie but with out a tie, no uniform is complete. It gives a majestic look besides if pinned with the shirt, the child may not feel uncomfortable

School uniforms, I think, particularly colors were chosen by school admin people in the early days of the school, based on what color they think would impart an idea to other people based on the color's connotation. Or... Maybe some other reasons, like white is easier to clean by using tough bleach.

Each school has got their own uniform code with some colour combinations. Even small children look pretty if they are in their uniforms. I think if we use tough bleach, may be due to the chemical impact of the bleaching agent, the texture of the cloth may become weak
