Have you ever invented anything?

I know there has to be someone on mylot that has invented something and had it patented....
I would love to have an invention patented but I have no idea who to go to or how to do it so have any of you invented something and had it patented? Do you have any advice or information on who I should contact if I have an idea? If you did have an invention what was it?

I haven't invented anything before because I reall have on imagination power and capital.
Although I have lots of ideas for the inventions, I don't act on it for lack of capital. Yes, if I have any capital to invest in my ideas, I'd be a wealthy man. From where I stand, for various reasons, most people have no ability to invent something and make a difference.
Of course, having newfangled ideas is important, but you'd better put it in to practice to make a difference.

Hello getbrowser, I think in the way I am a lot in the same, i have had this one idea for a long time but have never really made any effort to do anything about it other than asking for information in the mail and then once I received it and it read it it just sat there collecting dust. So I guess I am to blame for not ever having anything patented. You would think they would make it a bit easier to get an invention idea patented LOL Thanks for your response.

I have always dreamed of inventing something out of this world. Something no one has ever thought about and make it come to life. I want one to be under my name. But like most of us, I haven't. There's one thing though that we "designed" for a college project that we wanted to get a patent of. We tried contacting some local institutions concerned on intellectual property rights but the process takes a lot of time and money and we couldn't really find time (and money) because we were still in college. It was a group project and we had to produce a design for a chair for a furniture design class. :(

I have had an invention idea in my mind for many many years and I wish I knew a place to patent it because I think it is a great idea and I also fear that the longer I wait the quicker someone else is going to come up with that idea too and that would suck big time. i am still fairly young so maybe I can still get it patented and still be able to enjoy the royalties from it LOL Thanks for your response.
