Im all about making my money stretch. When I need something Im not ashamed to get second hand items especially for my kids. I love to do freecycle.com or cheapcycle. Great place to aquire or get rid of stuff you need or dont want. Do you know about free/cheapcycle and which groups do you belong to?

I think freecycling is a wonderful Idea. I think Everyone pawn shop should set aside an area, where people can come to free cycle items amongst eachother. Not only would it attract more people to the shop.. But it would also give people a chance to get rid of items that are not selling well and to give them to someone in need. The only problem I have with the free cycle system is there never seems to be any "Freecycle stations" Where people could go an meet one on one ... to just trade, and get rid of uneeded items. I am not comfortable with meeting people on the streets, or at my home, or mailing things to them.. So setting up a free cycle stations where they are patrolled you know it's safe, etc would be able to help, and then people could use the shops to decide what would be worth selling, and the stuff that is worth nothing they leave in the freecycling section, and others can leave an item with the persons names to be recieve and the person shows their identification and pick up the item. I have given stuff to freecycle to my sister, since I am never able to get out and since there are alot of foster children on our road, it is not safe to have strangers in and out all the time... People do give away good stuff on freecycle I have watched a car freecycled, I have watched expensive entertainment centers, and TV's and Radios it is pretty neat... my mom loves to trash things that can be reused. So I dig all those out make sure none of my family wants them, then I take them to pawn shops or freecycle them when I can... Well take care! - DNatureofDTrain
