what is the right way to taste dimsum???

Many people like to order dimsum & chinese tea in the morning as their breakfast. My family & myself also not excluded. I have see many people & also my family order a lot or plenty variety type of dimsum for every time we visit to the dimsum restaurant. But according to some old man, they say the right way to enjoy dimsum is only order not more than 3 different type & taste slowly with a pot of chinese tea... they say that is the traditional way.. I not really agreed to the traditional way because last time many people are not affordable but nowadays is different.. Dimsum already has many choices & people now are affordable & like to try more things.. For me, i think if we don't over order the dimsum till can't finish or throw away the dimsum & taste dimsum slowly but serve hot is the right way to taste dimsum. Or i will appreciate if anyone can teach me how or what dimsum should order???? Thank you...
