Been Kinda Rough

Two weeks ago we had to bury our eldest dog. A rottie mix named Cherokee. She was about 13 years old and had cancer. Even though we knew the end was coming it was difficult. We found her in front of our shop when she was a puppy. We took in two other pups to foster so she would have some other puppies to play with. She was a real sweetheart. I made a donation to the League for Animal Welfare in her name. The money went to a pregnant stray and will help feed her and her pups when they are born. Last week a long time friend/customer passed on. He had cancer also. We found out that he had actually called his pastor about 3 weeks prior and told him that he felt he would not be here much longer. He was a gem. One of the few men that would come into our shop for auto repairs that still had manners. I never heard a foul word come out of his mouth. At least he didn't do it in front of me. I know both are in a better place and suffer no more. Blessings, Carolyn

Thank you sweetie. It is hard. But it does help a great deal to know she isn't suffering any more and to know that there is another dog being helped. Love and hugs
