New Scam Alert

A new scam alert was issued by life-lock today telling people of a scam circulating over the internet. That an email letter telling you that someone is illegally using your social security number and then directs you to a phony website that looks just like Social Security Administration. Once on the website the person then is asked to verify important information like your Social security #, and also to provide financial information such as a credit card #, pin# and expiration date. So if you get a letter in you email, do you open it up and read it, and go to the website or pass it up and delete it, or contact the real SSA about the letter that you received and send them a copy of the letter.

There are so many scams on the internet and it is so disgusting. I get more e-mails in a day that would break me if I feel for them. I feel that if they are asking for money, there is something wrong, period. I have had to call my back before for a scam e-mail. I am so glad I did because they would have had access to all my login information if I fell for it. It is sad to think that so many people just sit around and think of new ways to make people go broke. They are fairly smart minds and if they put them to good use would most likely be making more money in a legit way. I wish we lived in a safer world but unfortunately there are a lot of people just out for number one in this world.

You are so right! I keep thinking "What is this world coming too", when people have to sneak so low to come up with an idea like this one ,knowing that they will get caught and go to jail. So really they are stupid! lol I just wanted to let as many people know what this scam was all about and alert them before they become a victim. Thank you for your answer.

I know, it is so unfortunate that anyone can stoop to that level. It makes me crazy to think that people are built that way. I wish there could be honesty and integrity built into all humans.
