Encourage yourself in excercise, how?

Hello there! I used to regularly jog outdoors or do some exercises at home. But I just can't be so consistent with doing it. For one month i've been doing it, then got bored and stop. Then when I missed it, do it regularly again for another month and stop. I just can't encourage myself to regularly do some exercise for a long time. I easily get bored doing some repetitive work. Now, its been about 6 months since I last exercise and am really getting weak, easily tires but still don't have the courage to get back at it again.

Hi Jankar, If you find that the type of exercise that you've once started is boring, find a more interesting one that will sustain your interest to continue the program. There are so many exercises and activities that you can choose from. Try to reflect on what interest you and start from there. You too can consult a gym instructor to help you reach a decision that you will be happy about. Goodluck.

I've tried that too, trying to look for a suitable kind of way for exercising. I've done a lot already, tried many but as time goes by, I would suddenly stop. And sometimes I tend to make excuses, like because of my work, quite busy...etc. Never been before to a gym though. Maybe I'll try that one. THanks msfrancisco!

That's good. Give yourself the chance to experience all types of exercise until you finally find the right and effective one for you. Then..settle for it! I am happy for you.

Try enrolling in different programs. I box and lift weights, and I don't get bored. Bonus: Get an exercise buddy. Try fitness boxing! http://www.squidoo.com/boxing-for-fitness.com

Hi there and smile. Maybe you have to find a partner or a coach. Someone who will jog with you early morning. Or just think about going to mall and buy exercise, hip hop abs video for you and enjoy dancing at home. Go and get a poster of your favorite sexy celebrity and post it in your wall where you can always see it and want to achieve a body like hers. People are different, what motivates me is when i think of my age 29, i do really want to be fit than reaching 30 and full of fats and bad cholesterol. We all have our own weakness, some are lazy when they dont have a partner in all things. Study yourself and find what it really wants. Happy mylotting and smile!

Wow! That sexy celebrity I think would work. Well, seeing a sexy body everyday is always encouraging. I think your also right by having a partner in exercise. Maybe that is why i get bored because im lonely doing it. Thanks iamsolucky! You really make me smile... :)

Well, i've tried that also. And when I get bored again, I know I'll just quit again. I'm just looking for something that would really inspire me in doing some exercises/workouts.
