How do you deal with fickle minded friends?

Fickle minded people are those who change minds often and are inconsistent. I made a deal with one of my friends years back to start a business. We will share the capital equally and I will provide the expertise. After everything was clearly laid down we both went to register the business. While in the business permit office he suddenly said " I don't think I will go ahead with this one, something came up". I ask him why? His answer was, he just decided to change his mind and only fools don't change their minds. I was surprised and a little shocked at that time but I couldn't force him to go on. Anyway, I decided to go ahead and shouldered everything. After seeing the business prospering, he offered a partnership which I flatly turned down. We are still friends but I can not trust his words anymore in serious business matters. How do you deal with people like this? Can you really trust them again with serious matters?

Yeah... Thats just sucks if thats happened. But, i think we can give the person another second chance to be trusted for good. you just have to make sure everything is gonnabe okay or maybe you can arrange some aggrement first with that person just incase if everything goes wrong. It should be done proffesionally of course. Hope it helps... Good luck!

thanks Agoenxz. Yes verbal agreement with fickle minded people would not suffice. It must be something written and clear, professionally as you put it. cheers!

don't blame you on not wanting to trust him again. i would not to worry about him, it's his loss with the business. your doing well that's the main thing.
