Hello. I will be very candid in beginning this post to say that my family is having true financial difficulties. My husband had to take a low paying job after loosing his 2 years ago. Thank God he has one though. I also lost mine about 2 years ago as well, and have yet to find another. I currently try to suppliment on the net, but it's really not helping much. We are so caught in the rut of never having money, that my family has stopped having fun. We have 3 teenagers that are very social and do get out with their friends. But...we can't seem to find anything fun that doesn't cost any money. We are not drinkers, so that doesn't work. Don't really enjoy playing cards either. It's so bad, we can't leave the house sometimes because of no gas in the vehicles and what we do have has to be conserved for work, errands etc. Any ideas? I'm sure other "mylotters" would appreciate any suggestions as well. Thanks.

You can watch old TV shows on the net for free at fancast.com. You could play games like monopoly, when it is raining outside and we have noting to do we play a game call farkle. It is a game with 6 dice and you have to get the highest dice to be the first one in, then you have to get 500 points to get in. 1-2-3-4-5-6 makes 1500 points, 3-5's makes 500 or 5-1's or 3-4's plus one makes 500. If you get 1500 and no one is in then they can't roll off your dice, but if they are in then they can roll off your dice too if you leave at least one dice when rolling then the next person can roll off that dice. The goal is to make at least 10,000 to win but if they go above that ten thousand then they win. If it is 2-2's 2-3's 2-4's then it is still 1,500. In any set of two's then it is 1,500. If you have ever rolled dice you will know that a set of three is what ever the number on the dice. We have had so much fun playing this game. There is scrabble , yatchez, there are so many games you and your family can do together. Just got to find something you are all interested in. Teaching your children new crafts, you can make all kinds of stuff out of everyday household things that are laying around the house.

You are quite welcome believe me if you can get your husband to play at least once he will never be bored it is a quick paced game. It can take just a few minutes to finish or it can take about an hour to finish. It is so fun we play that game when it is late in the evening or when it is raining outside and we have nothing else to do. There is no limit to how many people that can play this game. The more the merrier. Have fun!
