Nowasdays, maore and more people are interested in foreign festivals. During the period, they would like to observe it as natives do.For example, as i know, in China, in many big cities, during Christmas, many cites will hold big party to celebrate it, some for the foreigners in the city, and most just for the Chinese themselves only. There are many big festivals in China, such as the spring festival, the Dragon Boat festival, the mid-autumn festival. So do you think it is necessary for Chinese to celebrate some foreign festivals?

firstly christmas is not a foreign festival it is a christian celebration, may it be Chinese, Thai, Americans etc etc. - those who claims to be christians do celebrate the festival. anyway they don't require all to celebrate. if you want to then join if not then don't. it's just a matter of presenting and accepting what type of festival you'll celebrate :-)
