Nightmares, sppoky dreams where you can't move, have you experienced it?

Have you ever had a dream wherein you wake from that from the dream but you could not move. Or a similar scenario is that you become aware of the dream but could not wake up. Another scenario is you could still not move then, a dark shadow or something creepy roams around your bed and sucks the living hell out of you. I have experienced this a lot and I would like to know if you had experienced this too or what you think causes it.
