I haven't quit yet, but i cut down alot. I used to smoke 5-6 a day now im down to 2. Chewing gum, sucking on suckers and lollipops helps alot. It decreases your nicotine cravings.

I was a really bad smoker...but when I got pregnant It was really hard to quit...what I did was to smoke less cigg. every day 'til I quit because I knew it was bad not only for me but for the baby 2. It's not easy but you can do it. Just try not to think on smoking and whenever you want to some try some gum instead. hope this help...good luck

Hi nabeelnaqabia, 8-9 ciggs a day that's nothing lol. I used to smoke a pack maybe a pack and a half a day for years I did quit a few months back and yes it was hard, nicotine addiction, once it gets hold it owns you. I gave up for 2 reasons one my health and second the amount of money it was costing me. I gave up with the help of the nicotine gum and just will power. Just give up when you feel you can do it and use whatever aids that you find helpful to you. Good luck with quitting

I know a few people who were bigger smokers then you a pack or more a day. They stopped smoking. One stopped smoking by going for acupuncture. The onther one went for hypnosis. Both have never had the desire to go back to smoking. In fact they can't stand the smell or care to inhale second hand smoke. Good luck to you and hope this helps.

I have been smoking for more than 5 years in the past. I quit smoking after I learned smoking caused so much problem. It is not easy but you must have some determination in doing it. Look at the pictures of some cancers everyday and I think you will quit it.

Once you decided to quit smoking be determined to do and live with it. There's always a backslide and if you do it will be more harder for you to quit. I have lots of friend who tried to quit smoking but were not strong and determined enough to do it. Now they are more into it. If you smoke for four years now, that's the total number of years that you will need to clear your lungs and be healthy. Be clear about any support that you will need and with who are you going to get that support so that you have a buddy or partner in going through this process. You can do it if only you will believe that YOU CAN! Start now!

it's actually good that you realize how bad smoking can be. You just need to convince yourself some more and eventually you'll be able to quit it. there's really no easy way and you shouldn't do it in one shot because it might harm you even more. The best thing to change is not really to find someone who can help you but to want it yourself. You have to have the urge to quit it. WIthout you wanting to change, no one can dictate you on what to do. It is only you who have the most power to reverse what you have been having..Good luck. You can do it!!!

Smoking is a vice and like all vices it need to be helped. Often it is believed that a sufficent effort off will to quit. sometimes outside help is also used instead, someone who requires non-smoking in some way
