I used to look after a Rottweiller which had to be put down at the age of 10 because of the tendons in its back legs. It had theproblem when it was a puppy and it got treated but at 10 it was too much to put him through again. He also had issues with digestion too which meant he had to have special food for him so that he didn't get the runs.
I think you need to treat Rottweilers with respect firstly - they are powerful but loving creatures, make sure they have regular check-ups at the vet, make sure they have the right food for their bodies, make sure they get plenty of exercise and if possible you play with them somtimes and always ensure there is plenty of love!!!

i know that some get to live up the 15-20 years, it all depends on the life you gice them, healthy diet, exercise etc... I think the best way if to provide them with good healthy food, give them enough space to exercise, take them regularly to the veterinarian for check ups and or course give them loads of love.
