What happens if repeat a post already started?

Are we actually able to do this? Say joe bloggs wrote a post saying 'do you like red' and then I hadn't seen that post and went to start a discussion called 'do you like red' would we still earn anything for it or would one of the post get deleted?

Hi there. If you start a discussion make sure to check first if there had been similar discussions already posted. Your earnings will be deducted if your posted discussion gets deleted. That means you will only waste your time and effort on making a discussion that is set to be deleted or has a high chance to be deleted.

I wouldn't want to get a deduction, I will make sure I check before I post from now on. I thinks its better to write a unique individual post also as people do not want to be answering the same things all the time

You're absolutely right. People wants something new to respond with. Plus not only you will get deductions if your post gets deleted, also the earnings of those who responded into your discussion. That means you wasted your time and also you wasted other members time.

Nothing will happens.... I can see a lot of discussions who are same like the other discussions which I have seen few days ago....
May be Admins will deleted your discussions, maybe other members will not response to your discussion, because they used to respond on the same discussion yestarday, and maybe your discussion will stay and even can be a TOP discussion.

Plagiarising is NOT accepted here or anywhere else!
Repeating a topic is not necessarily plagiarising if only the same idea is repeated and not the complete text word for word.

I didn't mean plagurising, I meant that you accidentally did a post with the same title but obviously different content. I was mean if you didn't realise the post already exsisted.
I only wondered when I saw a lot of very similar discussions today and the question came into my head so I thought I would ask

The second discussion would be deleted and posts and earnings would be lost.
At the top of every page there is the searchbar. Before you start a topic you can insert some words there and then highlight 'discussions' and previous posts on that topic should show up.

It doesn't always work but usually after you try altering the words that you are searching, if there are any results then they will show up.

If you start a post that has already been posted, then it will deleted, as there is nothing that can be added to the second one that hasn't already been said. I have seen a lot of discussions repeated in here, and frankly, it is getting very boring. I will usually just post to the first one and if there are any others out there the same, I won't unless it is a newbie that is wanting help for something that they can't find the answer to. Otherwise, I will just leave the other discussions, and not post to them, and try to find new ones. I don't start discussions, myself, as it is hard to come up with a good topic of discussion.
