What do you think of Antidepressants?

What do you think of psychotropic medicatons? Should antidepressants and other "psych" meds be prescribed as heavily? Do you think that there are homeopathic remedies or lifestyle changes that would make mental illness more manageable without the side effects of medications?

It might depend on the person and how affected he/she is because of depression. I do believe in natural medicine remedies and that they do work. How do they do for mentall illnes? I would not know, but I guess there could be some options if you ask for some professional advice.
