Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" have been girls anthem if they want to liberate themselves every Saturday Night. Well, I'm not really a huge fan of Cyndi but I just love the beat of her song... Now, just played on air I heard that Miley Cyrus sang her version of the song. I have nothing against her but really I just don't like her remake. The beat was fast and trying hard to make it rock or something. For me, its awful... So here's my discussion, which version you like better, Cyndi Lauper's or Miley Cyrus's??

It's a little bit like when Britney Spears sang "I Love Rock and Roll". You can just tell her heart's not in it. Cyndi Lauper actually sounded like maybe someone had told her not to have fun at some point in her life, and I'm not sure that has ever happened to Miley. Maybe this makes for a lack of authenticity?

Hi sexy posh: I'm not a fan of Cindy Laupers but you know what a classic is and this is it. You can hear it over and over again and everytime sounds like a new song. Girls Just Wanna have fun it's an all time anthem about feminin liberation. Miley's simply not the same as Lauper's hit is. Have a nice day.

Cyndi Lauper's version. I can't really give a more honest answer than it's the original and it just has the certain special feel to it! But that's not saying I don't like Miley Cyrus's version, that's very good too!
