amd or intel

If I have to build a custom pc, mainly for gaming, some cad works and other general office needs which is the better processor of the two to be used?? Please also mention the reasons you would suggest it for.

If I were you, I would go for the I5 by Intel. Incredible performance at low price. For graphics a hd4870 might just do the job ;). This of course supposing you haven't built your pc yet.

intel 1)for multitasking... 2)higher cache memory 3)gud for graphic process and rendering amd 1)for gaming 2)higher clock speed 3)cheaper i would suggest intel

Hi! I always choose amd because I think its performance for gaming is quite good compare to intel. But intel is not become hot faster compare to amd. If you want to use amd better buy a cooling pad to make sure your computer performance is smooth.

AMD - for futured games like Diablo 3 Intel - you can buy this at low cost. also intel for dual core for multiple monitors.

I think that a lot of gamers tend to go for AMD processors as they are mainly built for that purpose, at least that's what AMD had in mind. I think it's probably wise to go for quad core too! That's four processors in the same housing unit, very powerful and particularly useful if you are looking to use powerful graphics for gaming experiences. Good luck. Andrew
