How do you deal with depression? I have been on medications for depression, but I recently had a baby and it has gotten worse. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it. Thanks.

Surround yourself with things that makes you happy. Take your baby out for a stroll and try to meet new people in the park. People are always friendlier when there's a baby around. Take some time off as well. Let your husband take care of the baby while he's at home. Don't feel guilty for wanting a little 'alone' time to pamper yourself.

Like you I have taken meds for depression but the older I got the better I can deal with it. I know its not that easy for everyone. My sister just had a baby not long ago and she's been any emoitional mess since. We have tryed to get her to go back on meds but she wont. All I can say to you is when feeling depress take a look at your newborn and know how lucky you are to have another life form love you unconditionally and always will. If your baby is healthy you got something to be greatful for. Try to remember all the good not only the bad that happens to you. I hope all works out for you and Im truly sorry to hear your so depressed I know the feeling I truly do. Hang in there it will get better I promise

I deal with it in a way many people don't like and they take offense to it acting as if I'm taking myself forgranted and what God gave me, and blah blah blah... Knitting, crocheting and sewing help though. So do "violent" video games.
