Install html code / java script in joomla

I try to install an HTML code from shoutmix.com.. I can do this easily in my blogger.. but I can't do this in my web.. I use JOOMLA cms to manage my website.. Please give me some advice

you can put html code into joomla template. go to template folder and change template using your favorite text editor and put html code on your desired section.

I wish I can put the code in module... it's like in bloogger.. editing html template it's hard..
