Honesty about past lovers

It's very common in the world today for people to NOT be virgins when they marry.
I have a questions for all of you...
When you do finally settle into a strong committed relationship, are you honest about the number of past lovers you have had?
If not, why not?

For me I've constantly been open about the number of partners I've had in the past if my current partner asks. The thing about it is I don't think its necessary to go into a ton of details with your current partner about the exs because in the end that could only cause more damage than any good. So yeah if they ask, go ahead and answer but don't have deep long conversations saying every thing you did with each of them.

Hello,
for me, if someone is willing to love me then I will open up with him. But if he can't handle it then I have to get ready to let him go.
Actually, I didn't have many as my friends did.
Men usually hide about their past... but im not sure about women.
