Pacman without a doubt is one of the most incredible fighter to step into a ring in recent years. But a natural welterweight, Cotto, will be the strongest fighter that Pacquiao has fought so far. So what will Pacquiao have to do to beat Cotto? Who do you think will win this legendary battle? Watch out at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, on nOvember 14, 2009 ( November 15, 2009, Philippine time).

Like everyone says, "Speed Kills". That's Manny's biggest weapon and if he can utilize that speed, Cotto is sure to be defeated. We would also like to take in consideration the extra 2 pounds that Cotto will have to lose as it will be crucial. Cotto has never fought under 147 in years. We will have to see if his power and speed will remain unaffected by the catchweight.

Let us disect them from physical/fighting style down to their fight records. When it comes to physical side obviously Cotto has an advantage in size, power and not to mention he is a legit welterweight. As for Pacquiao, the advantages he has i think the "SPEED" because as they say speed kills and i think he has a good chin compared to Cotto. Going to fighting style Cotto had proven that he has a good defence and offence. Also, the other thing that makes him good is that he can turn either south(a left handed) or an orthodox fighter depending on his opponent style. Now, going to Pacquiao side, based on his recent fights he has improved tremendously by adding defence and making his right hand very effective now. He's in and out movement makes his opponet miss so many times and he keeps improving that makes him special that's why is the "numero uno" pound for pound king. Lastly, their fighting records, Cotto has one lose (provided by margarito..hehe)and having a 79% KO percentage. While Pacquiao got three loses and 75% KO ratio. Now, in my opinion on who's going to raise his hand victorious...after the fight! It's Pacquaio by KO on the later round or decision. WHY? Cotto is much slower and never faced a fighter with great speed. Additionally, Pacquaio has a good chin too.

That's good to hear Tokouchi, so i guess this is going to be a repeat of what happened to Dela hoya then? that's certainly good news for all the fans of Manny. 2 pounds less is a lot of sacrifice for a boxer. Manny just needs to be careful since Cotto is not a sissy, one wrong move is all it takes. But I'm confident that Manny will win. Cheers!

I don't see Cotto being the bigger guy anymore. He looks thin and bony in the latest pictures i saw. Pac has all muscles and is just about around 149 before training and 146 after, so he's in great shape. For those who may argue that Cotto has faced speedstars like Zab Judah blah blah blah. To his credit, Zab has great hand speed, but that's about it! Pac has hand speed, great head movement, slick moves, great footspeed and knockout power in both hands! Plus he is a lefty which gives everyone troubles. So far, Pac has most, if not all, of the advantages coming into this fight. Cotto should not underestimate our guy.

the wait is getting on my nerves. the fight has been hyped and promoted to the maximum. it is time to see the two fighters inside the ring. as a filipino, i naturally go for manny pacquiao. but miguel cotto is a natural welterweight. besides, cotto has power in both hands. manny too can knockout opponents with either left or right hand. that makes the fight exciting. let's get it on!
