Tea addiction

How many of you are addicted to tea, i have seen people who are ready for a cup of tea even when they are about to sleep. Does excess harm our bodies or is it okay to have tea very frequently.
If I have tea very frequently my mouth is full of ulcers, is this normal, has anyone experience this
