It's good than Windows XP and Vista, I also want to try this version if the computer supported. I think for memory I need over 2 gig, because 2 gig is only for applications running in the Windows.

1 gb ram is sufficient for windows 7. The windows 7, xp mode requires 2 gb ram.

Not worth it to upgrade from a working example of XP IMHO Ok, if you want to get away from horrible Vista then shell out the cash or download a free copy of Micro XP. I would wait till you need a new PC and then you will get Win7 automatically and by then it may have got past Service Pack 1 and sorted out the early bugs.

No, but stripped versions can be found on the internet. Those who don't want the extras can download them. I believe it is still considered warez.

If your computer can handle windows 7, perhaps you could state your computer's specs here. If that's all in the green would absolutely advice you to get yourself windows 7. It's faster than XP and vista and has more features.

I haven't heard anything about Lenovo restarting windows. I know there was an error by windows that caused computers to restart but that happens when you upgrade from a certain windows version to another. It shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Yes it performs very well and quicker, there are a lot of settings which you can play on, it has an anti virus itself, anti malware, adware, phising attacks, anti everything. you always get warnings, the output video is very very detailed compared to Xp and other version. Space Age that is a way to describe it. But they recommend Dual Core or duo processor. 2 gig ram and at least 512 video card.If your laptop have these spec you can use Windows 7.
