I am planning to buy a new air conditioner for my home, but I am not sure which brand is good. I was buying Sharp before, but it wasn't so good. It just three years, I must repair it and now, it is dying. So I need advice for members who's using air conditioner and what brand do you use and how good is it so far. Thanks in advance

We are using kalvinator because of its durability and been in the market for decades. So far we have no problem with our unit. I guess it depends on how you use and maintain your air conditioner. Do you use it 24 hours? it cause you a lot if you always change unit so better buy the durable one.

Yes it cost us a lot for changing the air conditioner. That's why I need the reliable brand, not only good in promotion but also good in their product. No I didn't use it 24 hours, only at night for sleeping. Every 6 months, I always ask someone to service the air conditioner. Thanks, I'll check for it.

There are three air conditioner in my house, and all of them are Hitachi. I bought the first one more than 4 years ago, and that time the shop promoter recommended me to get the Hitachi's, as he said it's the best selling brand among the air conditioners, also the defect rate is lower. I do not have much problem with the air conditioner so far, I just asked someone to service the air conditioner for me recently, when I got the other two air conditioner, they are Hitachi too. The promoter recommended us to buy that brand too, same reason. I have heard many good comments about Hitachi, perhaps you can survey around or ask the promoters, as they should know which air conditioner gives them more problems.

Thanks Kaka. I did ask the shop promoter but it looks like he was more concern in selling certain brands like Panasonic. I think he can get more commission from the sales if selling Panasonic . That's why I want to know the experience from mylot's members. I had two brands on my home, Panasonic and Sharp. Sharp only last for about 3 years and start making problems. I had panasonic for eight years, It was good and has no problem until recently. but it was the old panasonic. I am afraid the new panasonic not as good as before. I will check the Hitachi. Thanks
