How frequent do you use your cellphone? Is it a necessity?

It used to be that cellphones are not really that popular but nowadays everywhere you can see people holding their cellphones texting or talking. I use my cellphone all the time, every hour I like to text my friends, my officemates. I also sometimes make calls and receive calls but mostly I text. How about you?

I've been using cell phone since I was 18 years old. That was 20 years ago. I don't do a lot of text messaging for personal use but I have to for work reasons. My work sends me a lot of emails as well. That's one of the reasons why I have a blackberry. Most of the friends I know calls me rather than text me because they know it could take hours for me to answer a text message. I don't answer text messages that much. most of the messages I get from work do not require for me to answer them so I tend to push'em aside. On average, I use somewhere between 2,500 - 3,000 minutes a month on calls.

My phone never leaves my hand. It is always in my sight and I am constantly checking my text messages. Always!!!

Here lately, I have done more talking than texting. My daughter and I will text when she isn't all that busy and we can text to our heart's content. When we do text, we text for a long time, and really rack up the messages. She has been very busy lately, so she will call me several times a day to let me know how things are going. We are both on the same network so we can talk and text all we want, and it doesn't cost us anything extra, and for that I am glad. For me it is a necessity to have, because it is the only phone I have, and I have to have keep in touch with my kids. I don't know what I would do without my cell phone. It is constanly by me while I am on the computer, so I can answer it when it rings. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Hi rosekiss, yes, cellphones are a great means of communicating with loved ones. I'm glad that you and your daughter have a great relationship and that having a cellphone helps maintain your communication even if both of you are busy. take care!
