the best defense is to avoid using your phone in public places where there are many passers-by, or in public utility vehicles where you have smaller chances of defending your things due to the limited space. if you really need to use your phone, choose a place where there are lots of obstructions like chairs and tables because robbers would avoid such. another good defense is to always look sharp! snatchers and robbers always tend to look for easy prey. so if they see you look sharp, theres a higher probability that you won't become their victim.

To avoid you cellphones being snatched, never text or call in public . .. . it is better to bring or carry old model cellphones for these do not get the attention of snatchers. .

Don't use you cellphone in public or any open area. One of the things that attracts snatchers is the brand of your cellphone, so if you can't help to use it in public use a cheaper one or an outdated model because the newer and more expensive looking your cellphone is the more tempting it is to them. If you really think about it you don't need a fancy cellphone because be just used it more on texting. There are just people out there that want to show off how expensive their cellphones are.
