Less and less hours at work

Hi! I am a waitress and the place where I work has been taken over by new management. Since then my job situation has gone down the tubes. I worked at this place for a year before they came and I had no problems with my boss or work hours before. In fact they would ask me to work more hours at times. When I worked for the previous owners I worked 30-35 hours a week. But now with the new owners I keep getting less and less (not even 20 hours in 2 weeks). I wonder are they trying to make me quit? Have I been doing something seriously wrong? I know the other day I had customers complain that the food was cold so I told the owners about it(because I know one of the cooks thought the steam table wasn't working up to par). Well they blamed me and said that I didn't get the food out fast enough. But that isn't true I brought it out the minute they had it ready. Anyway even if they feel that I have made mistakes shouldn't they tell me so that I can try to do a better job? I know they have to watch out for their own butt and need to try to get this business off to a good start but I still feel that they could be handling my job in a better way. Today the boss just said that they won't need a daytime waitress as often and that the bartender will also work the dining room too. But I don't buy that either as one of the other day time waitresses is still getting more hours than I have. Is there anything I can do about this? Can I get unemployement (wishful thinking)? I really hate this as I did like this job. I know this economy bites.
