what do you think about blocking websites

i am currently living in China, and as everyone knows, China has one of the most censored internet. right now in China, Youtube, Facebook, blogspot and many other great harmless websites has been blocked. i am so annoyed by this. what do you think about China's actions towards censorship?

censorship almost can never work,haven't you heard about proxies? It should be up to everyone to decide what he sees and what he doesn't, censorship is simply hindrance to freedom

Its not that easy,because proxies are constantly updated and their lifespan is generally short,and proxy subscriptions are always available although not everyone can buy it,but still complete censorship isn't possible.

well... this is what happens. you find a working free proxy on monday.
proxy stops working on Tuesday, so you spend 1 hour finding a new 1. and it just keeps going on.
