Choose and explain: 1. Hate 2. Fear 3. Laziness 4. Anger 5. War or you can choose another :) Hehehe.. Others say it is 'fear', because sometimes we are unable to express our love because of some fear like rejection, hurt, etc.. While some say it would be laziness because love is a verb.. So can anyone define love? And what would be its opposite in your own opinion?

Love is when you miss someone, Love is when you care for somebody, It is love what make us cry when you ____ what you miss and care for. Love is pure if you ask me, it's unconditional, no limits no boundaries. It does not perish but flourishes, it never weakens and always stay strong, love has no fear, it does not envy or boast. This is my LoVE and it comes from deep within me. The opposite would be deceit, untruthful, lies, careless and unforgiving.

I have the same perception of love as yours as it is described in the Bible. I believe no other definition would best describe it as it was said in the Bible.. Given that there are many opposing terms associated with love, I guess that would only mean that love is the perfection of all. ;) Thanks for participating in my discussion friend God bless :)

Mathematicaly, or as if you draw a line on a paper and consider one side being the pozitive side and write there "love", opposite would appear to be hate, because hate = (-)love. Is not so. Because hate ald love can coexist and not necessarely one destroy the otherone. Then what is the thing destroy love ? Envy/jealousy. That is the real enemy of love and that comes from a sick/wrong sense of ownership backed up by lack of respect and misstrust.

Just as there are many opposites of love, so does its misconceptions. Sometimes we think of love as jealousy, infatuation when in fact it is not love at all. It's important that we have to be guided with what real love is.. and personally I believe the best definition would be what the Scriptures say about it ;)

The opposite of LOVE is INDIFFERENCE. If you feel genuine love towards a person, you should never feel hatred if suddenly the relationship falls out. There's only indifference but never hatred or anguish.

1. Hate!!! Hehehehe. I don't know. It just came naturally into my mind... I guess it's because when couples break up, they would say "I HATE you" instead of "I LOVE you"... =) Love? Its a noun. It's a principle. It's... unexplainable...

hi cecille! i am seeing you after quite some time! now m glad to see you are here... well love is something which bonds us together something which allows us to trust one another, some thing that comes free and from with in ourselves, something really beautiful and wonderful to spread, well like you said here those five points, all are against love, war is caused by hate, anger and fear, laziness can lead to fear, and anger is often caused due to hate and fear, these all factors are interlinked and all are against love, if we truly love someone none of these five factors are going to show up to the person you love . . . i guess you were busy lately cecille but do drop in occasionally i am glad to see you... have a nice day:)

Hi voldrox :) Glad you remembered me. Hehehehe.. Yes I was very busy on my practice teaching last semester that's why I stopped being active on mylot. However this semester since I only have two subjects and I'm mostly at home I'll be more active here ;) Hope to hear more from your discussions here I will be very glad to respond to them. :) I agree love really has many different connotations and so it has many opposites.. :) Thanks again and God bless :)
